Our official representative in the Amur Region, LLC "BRONYA-AMUR", has successfully completed sound insulation work on a residential room in a dormitory in Blagoveshchensk.
The initial problem the customer faced is familiar to many residents of such buildings: the interior walls were only half a brick thick, so even the sound of a simple conversation could be clearly heard from the adjacent room.
After a detailed consultation with our regional dealer and a demonstration of a clear example of noise reduction, the optimal solution was chosen — sound insulation of two adjacent walls. For this task, our high-tech ultra-thin soundproofing coating "Bronya SoundBarrier NF" was used.
This material is a liquid soundproofing coating that acts as a reliable barrier to sound waves: it reflects the sound flow and prevents it from penetrating the room. It is also completely non‑flammable (NF), which enhances the fire safety of the entire wall structure being built. This is an especially important requirement when carrying out repairs in residential rooms and multi‑occupancy dormitories. Using the coating as a damping layer between rigid sheet materials (in this case, gypsum plasterboard) makes it possible to multiply and effectively enhance the soundproofing properties of the structure being built.
The repair was carried out according to the most effective of the recommended application schemes.
-
A layer of "Bronya SoundBarrier NF" sound insulation 1–1.5 mm thick was applied to the first sheet of gypsum plasterboard (GKL) 12.5 mm thick.
-
The sheet with the wet coating was applied to the wall to be insulated and securely screwed in place.
-
The procedure was then repeated: a second layer of GKL (12.5 mm) was installed with a similar layer of liquid sound insulation between the sheets.
An additional but very important step was applying the coating to the adjacent part of the ceiling (with an overlap of about 10 cm). This eliminated acoustic bridges (noise bridges) passing between the wall and the ceiling.
After the work was completed, noise from the neighboring room no longer disturbs the residents at all. Also, thanks to the unique properties of "Bronya" coatings, the usable volume and floor space of the room were completely preserved. The total thickness of the added sound insulation wall was only 28 mm.
The customer was completely satisfied with the quality and the final result.
