We are proud to announce the successful confirmation of the acoustic parameters of last year's new product by the Bronya representative office in Italy! Our distributor, Bronya Italy, continues its fruitful cooperation with one of the oldest and most prestigious technical universities in the world – the University of Pisa.
Let us recall that a year earlier, in our news feed, we already covered the acoustic testing of our coatings at the LIFT laboratory of the University of Pisa. At that time, the base modification "Bronya Lite" with a thickness of just 3 mm showed sound absorption of 32% at a frequency of 1000 Hz (8 times more effective than ordinary plaster).
Now the European laboratory has presented our new product – "Bronya Lite Acoustic". The goal of the new study was a rigorous assessment of the sound absorption coefficient of this modification. The research group led by Professor Giacomo Salvadori conducted testing using a Kundt's tube (impedance tube) in strict accordance with the European standard UNI EN ISO 10534-2. For the study, gypsum plasterboard with a coating thickness of 4 mm, 5 mm, and 10 mm was used.
Please note that for Italy, this modification is produced under the name "Bronya Classic Acustic" and differs in label color (due to the absence of associations with a can of condensed milk in the Italian market).
We received the research results from one of the world's leading universities in acoustic testing in the form of a technical report. It proves the declared vibration‑damping and sound‑insulating properties of the "Bronya Lite Acoustic" modification. Thanks to a special polymer base and damping fillers, our material effectively reduces airborne noise (voices, music) and structural noise (vibrations, equipment operation, footsteps).
The graphs obtained during the Italian tests clearly demonstrate that the sound absorption coefficient of our material steadily and qualitatively increases with increasing frequency of the incident sound and coating thickness. For example, when applying a 10 mm coating layer at a frequency of about 1200 Hz, the graph records a peak coefficient equal to 1.0, which means almost 100% sound absorption.
