Recently, our dealer shared a detailed photo and video report from the reconstruction site of the "Victoria" shopping center in Kaliningrad, where ultra-thin "Bronya" thermal insulation once again proved its high effectiveness.
The technical specialists faced a complex challenge: it was necessary to perform high-quality insulation of the restaurant's summer terrace floor slab, and also to completely prevent the transfer of cold from the cold zone into the heated rooms through the load-bearing metal structures. The use of traditional insulation materials in such architectural units inevitably leads to a loss of usable space and increases the weight of the elements. Therefore, the choice was made in favor of high-tech "Bronya" materials, which allow creating a continuous thermal barrier with a minimal layer.
Technology application and stages of solving problems at the site:
-
Substrate preparation: To remove dust from the surfaces and create ideal adhesion, the first-floor ceiling and the second-floor concrete floor were pre-treated with a high-quality deep-penetration primer "Bronya Universal".
-
Elimination of "cold bridges": Load-bearing metal columns and trusses were coated with just 2 mm of the non-flammable base modification "Bronya Classic NF". This ultra-thin layer is sufficient to reliably insulate the metal and prevent the transfer of sub-zero temperatures to the adjoining floor slab.
-
Comprehensive insulation of the floor slab and floor construction: For insulating the concrete floor of the summer terrace, an effective combined scheme was used: 2 mm of the base coating "Bronya Classic NF" in combination with 2.5 mm of the thermal and sound insulation modification "Bronya Lite NF". The work was carried out using the technology of layer-by-layer laying of reinforcing fiberglass mesh. It is important to note that according to the project, immediately after the application and polymerization of the "Bronya" thermal insulation coatings, the next stage involves pouring a reinforced cement-sand screed.
-
Anti-condensation protection: To reliably prevent condensation formation, 2 mm of "Bronya Classic NF" coating was applied to the first-floor ceiling and the profiled roof sheeting.
Special mention should be made of the strict control over compliance with the technology at the site. To ensure ideal layer uniformity and high work speed, the material was applied mechanically using airless spray units. The thickness of each applied "wet" layer (WFT) was monitored by specialists using a special toothed comb thickness gauge.
This case from Kaliningrad clearly demonstrates how the unique thermophysical properties of "Bronya" materials allow solving the most complex engineering problems, ensuring reliable thermal insulation and protection of structures without loss of usable volume.
