Excellent news from our Chinese representatives, who shared impressive materials from a large facility — a water treatment and preparation unit at one of the chemical plants in the city of Tai'an (Shandong Province, China).
The water for the plant's needs is extracted from deep wells in the steppe and is initially unsuitable for production requirements. Its preparation process includes a complex chemical and thermal process, including an evaporation stage. The engineers faced a large-scale task: to thermally insulate a number of pumping and thermal equipment, including furnaces and huge anaerobic tanks made of carbon steel.
The work began with coating several impressive tanks. Each has a diameter of 6 meters and a height of 12 meters. The main goal here was to ensure a constant thermal balance of the contents. The fact is that during chemical treatment, regardless of external weather conditions (up to +28…+35 °C in summer or down to -15 °C in winter), the wastewater temperature must be stably maintained at 35 °C.
To solve this problem, as well as to protect against aggressive environments, a comprehensive system of two modifications was used: first, "Bronya Anticor NF" was applied to the metal, followed by subsequent layers of "Bronya Classic NF". The material was applied using airless spray units, and as a result, just a few millimeters of coating easily replaced classic insulation materials.
In addition to the tanks, it was necessary to insulate a furnace used in thermal treatment (evaporation). The temperature inside it reaches 350 °C, while the external metal surface is about +150 °C. This created extremely uncomfortable conditions for production workers and led to constant overexpenditure by the enterprise on workshop ventilation. Applying just 3 mm of "Bronya" coating completely solved this problem: the surface temperature dropped to a safe 45 °C.
This case demonstrates how "Bronya" products excel at the tasks of insulating and protecting industrial equipment that requires strict adherence to temperature regimes and protection of metal from aggressive environments, as well as for reliably protecting personnel from burns when in contact with high-temperature objects.
In conclusion, it is worth adding that this is already the fifth section of the fourth plant of this chemical complex, which over the years has become a regular client of our representative office in China.
