Social and cultural ties are strengthening: 366 students from the Caspian states are studying in the universities of the region.
The development of relations between the Volgograd region and the Caspian countries is facilitated not only by systematic work to increase the agricultural, industrial and tourist potential, but also the favorable geographic location of the region that has the status of a federal transport hub. Over the past four years, the basic road network has been put in order, now the issues on effective use of the waterways of the country are being solved. This is the task set by President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation in August 2016 in Volgograd. This is especially important given the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea, signed on August 12 by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
In addition, bilateral agreements can build effective work, for example, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in August during the official visit of a representative delegation of the Volgograd region headed by Governor Andrei Bocharov to the Iranian province of Mazandaran, where representatives of the NPO "Bronya" also attended.
In the framework of the business program, in addition to the plenary session, the work of three sections was carried out: "Prospects for the development of foreign trade relations of industrial enterprises of the Volgograd region with companies of the countries of the Caspian region", "Agrarian sector of interaction of the countries of the Caspian region. Food exports ", and" Tourism development between the Volgograd region and the Islamic Republic of Iran ".
Note that due to systematic work to restore order in the region, create a favorable business climate, the number of attracted investors is growing, international cooperation is developing. The return of confidence to the region by the federal center allowed the implementation of a number of large-scale infrastructure projects that provided the foundation for further financial and economic development of the Volgograd region, strengthening economic ties with Russian and foreign partners. From 2014 to 2017, 88 large and medium-sized investment projects were implemented on the territory of the region, an increase of 35%.
This event allowed to establish new business contacts of representatives of NPO "Bronya" with Iranian colleagues, to discuss the need and prospects for the supply of heat-waterproofing coatings of the "Bronya" series.
